My week in the Hamptons began with an exclusive luncheon at the Parrish Art Museum, celebrating the opening of the Sam Moyer and Eddie Martinez exhibit. I can't wait to circle back for the highly anticipated KAWS exhibit at the Southampton Arts Center. Known for his iconic pop culture-inspired pieces, KAWS never fails to draw a crowd. 4. Eric Fischl: A Day at the Beach at Guild Hall
158 Main Street, East Hampton
Head over to Guild Hall to experience Eric Fischl's latest exhibit, "A Day at the Beach". Eric Fischl mainly known for his large scale, realistic images of middle class American life, has created this interactive work where the public is invited into the studio during gallery hours to create their own "paintings" with provided precut magnetic figures-or make new figures - to develop compositions that play with changing perspective, narrative, and the history of painting. Fun for children of all ages and family outings !
5. The Lalannes and McArthur Binion at the Peter Marino Foundation
11 Jobs Lane, Southampton
The Peter Marino Foundation is currently hosting a special exhibit featuring the works of The Lalannes and McArthur Binion. This exhibit is an absolute must-visit, showcasing the unique and imaginative sculptures of François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne alongside the intricate, abstract paintings of McArthur Binion. The juxtaposition of these artists creates a compelling dialogue that is both thought-provoking and visually stunning. The foundation's space enhances the viewing experience, making this exhibit a standout destination for art enthusiasts.
